My living room was all about glitz this year! Wanting to keep the fresh, crisp, yellow and white theme of the room, I simply added hints of sparkle--with finishing touches of "Nest" holiday candles in several spots. (It is literally the most heavenly scent I have ever come across in a holiday candle....I only wish you could smell it as you look at these pictures because it brings the Christmas goodness of this room to a whole new level!)
All decorations were purchased from TJ Maxx Home Goods which kept the price down while transforming this space into a fabulous, twinkling winter wonderland.
You will also notice that I am--once again--wearing a kaftan. I believe in trying to look chic as often as possible, but realistically, how do you do this at home when you want to be comfortable? The kaftan has become my (tres chic) version of the 1950's house dress, and is a fashion signature of mine. It was hard to find what I was looking for (think Elizabeth Taylor circa 1960s) so I had a pattern made (one size fits all), bought materials, and started having them made.
